Six-Sided Sampler Masculine Card

When it was time to include a masculine card to the Card Buffet menu, I thought the hexagon was a good gender-neutral shape to use.  Sure enough, I found this great card using the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set.

The plaid stripe is made with the Gingham wheel that I converted to a clear mount stamp.

Stamp Sets:  Gingham Wheel, Six-Sided Sampler, Express Yourself
Card Stock:  early espresso, whisper white, night of navy, marina mist, crumb cake
Stamp Pads:  early espresso, crumb cake, marina mist, night of navy

Simple Stems from New Occasions Catalog

I needed to make a big batch of order thank you cards and used a brand new stamp set from the Occasions Catalog; Simple Stems.

For the flower and stamp, I inked once and stamped three times.  I normally make these cards a little simpler, but I had fun using so many different elements.

Card Stock:  pear pizzazz, very vanilla, gingham garden dsp
Stamp Pads:  pear pizzazz, coastal cabana, black stazon

Patchwork Quilt Christmas Card

I had a workshop back in October.  The hostess is a quilter so I thought she might like this card for one of the projects.  We used the Stampin' Up! grid paper to arrange the quilt pieces.  For accuracy, I punched all of the pieces with a 1" square punch.  All, but the four corner pieces, were cut in half on the diagonal.  I assembled two cards and decided that the easiest way was to adhere one block at a time from top left to bottom right.  To add a quilty texture, I dry embossed the pieced star.

Too Kind

I love this card and it was very popular at a card buffet.  Too Kind is a two-step stamp set.  Crushed Curry is the only yellow stamp stamp pad I used.  To get the lighter shade, I stamped off once with that stamp.  The rubber on each stamp looks very similar so to make it easier to remember which one to stamp off,  I put a tiny piece of post-it note on that block and wrote "stamp off" on it.

Magnificent Maple

I don't often use blender pens or aqua painters.  I like the look - just not something I'm very good at.  However, I could handle it on this card.  I stamped the leaf with Cajun Craze ink and colored in with Cherry Cobbler ink and a blender pen.  I put a drop of ink from the reinker bottle on an acrylic block and picked it up with the blender pen.

Betsy's Blossoms

A clean and pretty card.  It was on one of my Card Buffets (with a few different sentiments available), but it wasn't very popular.  It's amazing how many people don't like to fussy cut.  Oh how punches and framelits have spoiled us.  Haha!

Label Love and Chalk Talk Wedding Card

My mom asked me to make a wedding card.  This is the one I made for her. We didn't know the wedding colors - it was out of town and we were not able to attend.  Later, I saw pictures and the card stock matched the brides maids' dresses perfectly.  Lucky guess!

Regarding Dahlia

I just loooove this card!  And so did everyone at my Card Buffets.

I have shown a few triple layer cards before.  This is very similar - but double layers instead.  Lightly adhere the small white card stock piece to the card base, stamp the flower, separate the pieces, add the black mat and assemble.  I did the same thing on the inside, but stamped the flower more on the background to leave space for writing in the center.

Stamp Set:  Regarding Dahlias
Card Stock:  basic black, whisper white
Stamp Pads:  black stazon, melon mambo
Other:  black chevron ribbon, whisper white baker's twine, 1-1/4" circle punch, dimensional.

Make-a-Cake

I offered this card on my October/November Card Buffet.  It wasn't very popular, but I sure like it!  I had a lot of leftovers.   You win some, you lose some.  Then a friend told me she was going to a shoe box swap and wanted to CASE this card.  She was crunched for time so I offered her my leftovers.  That worked well - so I guess it was a win after all (for both of us).

The cake pieces and flags are all separate stamps, but they were quite easy to line up without a stamp-a-ma-jig.

Stamp Pads:  summer starfruit, midnight muse, primrose petals

Simple Mosaic Madness

This is a pretty versatile card that was on my Card Buffet in October and November.  A lot of the sentiments from Petite Pair worked well with it.  I was on track for a general neutral card, but just had to go and add those rhinestones.   I guess they could be picked off easily enough to mail the card to a guy. Ha!

Expressions Thinlits Dies - Merry

I was a little apprehensive about using the Expressions Thinlits Dies.  I was in a bit of a time crunch to finish our Christmas cards and didn't want something that would be delicate (aka time consuming).  I had seen a tip to use wax paper with your paper or card stock.  It worked!  The "Merry" was super easy to get out of the die.  I whipped a couple dozen of these up in very little time.

CASEd from one of my favorite artists, Amy.

Card Stock:  cherry cobbler, crumb cake, gold foil, season of style dsp
Other:  whisper white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, expressions thinlits dies, big shot.

Santa's List

I liked the Santa's List stamp set because I think it's a little retro without being outdated.  I ordered it and only made 1 card with it (16 cards - just 1 design).  I like to send Santa or whimsical cards to families with young children.  This was the one.

Thanks to ARTfelt Impressions for the great design!

Stamp Set:  Santa's List
Card Stock:  cherry cobbler, gumball green, whisper white, silver glimmer, season of style dsp
Stamp Pad:  cherry cobbler
Other:  stylish stripes embossing folder, big shot, gumball green stitched satin ribbon.
