All Dressed Up Window Card

For this window card, I used an oval framelit to cut a window in the card base. I then cut a larger oval from a window sheet.  I used both of those oval framelits to make a frame for the window.  The window sheet is adhered on the card front with the Summer Starfruit frame over it.  I could have mounted a large rectangle of window sheet on the inside of the card front, but I wanted it all encased - more like a real window.

Fabric Frenzy - Fat Quarter Tote Bags

We are having new family room furniture delivered tomorrow.  Yippee!  2 couches, a chair and an ottoman.  Last night we took the old furniture to a consignment shop.  Having no furniture in the room is a great opportunity to wash baseboards and vacuum carpet.  Have I done that yet?  Nope! My son is flying home tonight for a long Easter weekend.  Yippee!!  Have I been to the grocery yet?  Nope!

I sewed this morning...

I am so excited about the Fat Quarter Frenzy; Stampin' Up! fabrics are 50% off through March 31.

I made this tote bag from the Twitterpated Fabric.  And I had enough left over for a tissue pouch.  And there are still enough scraps to make card embellishments.  I love the bag!!  I followed this tutorial.  There are options for making the gussets (she calls them pooches) different 2 sizes or none.  I chose the larger gusset.  The other gusset options make the tote a little taller and wider.  They are all very cute.  You can see pictures of them all on the tutorial.  As you can see, the bag is lined and has exterior pockets on both sides.

I've made the tissue pouches before and posted a tutorial here.

I didn't stop there.  I made this drawstring tote, also.  I've made this pattern before and had cut this Spice Cake fabric but didn't get around to sewing it.  There's nothing like a sale to motivate me.  Haha!

I used this tutorial for the bag.  This size is great for fat quarters (I did have to piece strips for the drawstrings).  You can print a pattern that gives dimensions for different sized bags.  I made a larger bag in Christmas fabrics for my two grand kids and my great niece.  I put Christmas pajamas in them and gave them to them on Thanksgiving.

Again, I had enough fabric left to make a tissue pouch and still have usable scraps.  I didn't have enough of one fabric, so had to make the pouch in just 2.  I had cut into this bundle already and I'm not sure if there would have be enough if I hadn't already gotten into it.  It's still super cute in two fabric, though.

Dapper Dad - Soda Pop Top Watch

I told you a couple of weeks ago about an All-Inclusive workshop I was getting ready for.  It included lots of products as well as making 6 cards here.  I already shared the Dapper Dad tuxedo card (love it).  Here is the other card made with the Dapper Dad stamp set.

I used a soda pop top (spring catalog) for the watch bezel.  You can flatten them with the Big Shot.  For the large soda pop tops, have one tab up on the platform and no tabs up for the small soda pop tops.  Place them between the clear cutting pads open side down.  Pretty cool, isn't it?!

Inspired by this card.

Stamp Sets:  Sweet Essentials, Dapper Dad
Card Stock:  midnight muse, crumb cake, cherry cobbler, whisper white, parker's patterns dsp (spring catalog)
Stamp Pad:  midnight muse, crumb cake
Other:  soda pop top, chevron ef, oval framelits, big shot, rhinestone, dimensionals, stampin' sponge.

Sale-a-Bration - Feeling Sentimental - Phone Booth

Today I'm sharing a card made with the Feeling Sentimental stamp set - free during Sale-a-Bration.  I realize it's probably a little corny to pair the "hello" stamp from Lacy and Lovely with the phone booth image, but I did it anyway.  ☺

Oh my goodness!  I can't believe there are only 10 more days until the end of Sale-a-Bration.  There are so many more cards I want to make and share with my free products.  I guess I just get too distracted.  {Sigh}

Here is one card that's currently on my Card Buffet that uses the Madison Avenue SAB stamp set and Sycamore Street SAB dsp.

Easter Lamb Punch Art Card - so cute!!

I just love this Easter card that I made for my February and March card buffet.  That doesn't sound very modest, does it?  hehe

For the lamb's head, I punched an owl and cut off the feet.  The eyes are also from the owl punch.  The legs are made with the word window punch.  I fringe cut the grass by hand.  This card is not difficult to make, but it is kind of time consuming to assemble.  Most people stamped, sponged and punched here and took the pieces home to assemble.  The beautiful Easter Blessings stamp on the inside is a single stamp from the Spring Catalog.  I also used the triple flower stamp from Betsy's Blossoms on the inside and envelope.  I lightly sponged over the embossed clouds with bashful blue ink.

Stamp Sets:  Easter Blessings, Betsy's Blossoms
Card Stock:  pink pirouette, certainly celery, basic black, whisper white, so saffron
Stamp Pads:  bashful blue, so saffron, pink pirouette
Punches:  owl builder, itty bitty punch pack, 2-3/8" scallop circle, word window
Other:  dimensionals, glue dot, pink pirouette 3/8" taffeta ribbon, cloudy days ef, big shot.

Create a Cupcake --Quickly!

I've been stamping a lot of prototype and sample cards for my All-Inclusive Workshop next week and for my Card Buffet in two weeks.  In the meantime, my personal birthday card stash and the birthday card stash for the church choir were running very low.  Cupcakes are my favorite images for my birthday cards and I remembered this  cute and quick card that I had pinned from Deb Currier at ARTfelt Impressions.  And it just so happened that I had several 1/4 sheets of polka-dot embossed white card stock left over from a card buffet.  Cute cards that are needed and using up scraps - I love it when a plan comes together!

The designer paper on this card is called Just Add Cake.  It's retired, BUT it's on the clearance rack for only $2.19.  Click on the shop online bag over on the left tool bar to take advantage of lots of great deals.

Stamp Set:  Create a Cupcake
Card Stock:  whisper white, peach parfait (retired), baja breeze, just add cake dps (retired, but on clearance rack - cheap!)
Stamp Pads:  early espresso, peach parfait (retired)
Other:  baja breeze 1/8" taffeta ribbon, 2-3/8" scallop circle punch, cupcake builder punch, itty bitty punch pack, circles #2 die, basic rhinestone, dimensionals.
