Morning Cup Peek-a-Boo Card

Have you ever made anything that seems easy to you, but you know explaining how to do it to someone else won't be so easy?  This card was like that.  It was easier to show it than to explain it and it was fun to see the light bulbs turn on and hear, "Ohhhh, now I get it."

I CASEd this card and modified it into a peek-a-boo card.

Stamp Set:  Morning Cup
Card Stock:  wisteria wonder, whisper white
Stamp Pads:  black staz-on, wisteria wonder

Blue Ribbon Birthday

Masculine cards are the most challenging to design.  I don't think that's just my opinion either - I hear that from a lot of other stampers.  So I make effort to always have one on my menu board for Card Buffets.  Well - if not masculine, at least gender neutral.

Personally, I really liked this card, but it was not extremely popular at the buffets.  I think some thought it was be more difficult than it really was.  That's OK though - I have a need for the leftovers.

Stamp Set:  Blue Ribbon, Friendly Phrases (inside)
Card Stock:  island indigo, real red, whisper white
Stamp Pads:  real red, summer starfruit, island indigo (inside)
Other:  argyle ef, big shot, 2-3/8" scallop circle punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, dimensionals, summer starfruit 1/2" stitched satin ribbon.

Winter Boots Card

When Stampin' Up! publishes new catalogs, I try to make practical choices.  I think about what I would use the most for my personal stamping and for my Card Buffets.  But sometimes I'm drawn to sets that are just cute and maybe not so practical.  This set of cute boots is one of those sets.  I bought it.  But at least I did find enough samples to justify my purchase.  Well, kind of...

This card was offered on my December and January card buffet.  It's easy and oh so cute!  Great card for after Christmas thank yous and winter birthdays.

Cased from here.

Stamp Set:  Bootiful Occasions
Card Stock:  bashful blue, whisper white
Stamp Pad:  black staz-on

Artistic Etchings - Clean and Simple

Usually when I think of clean and simple, I envision lots of white space.  Here, I've used very vanilla card stock.  But with no layers and simple stamping - it still works.  If the Amour stamp from Artistic Etchings was used, it would make a nice Valentine or anniversary card.

CASEd from here.

Stamp Sets:  Bliss (retired), Artistic Etchings, Lacey & Lovely
Card Stock:  very vanilla
Stamp Pads:  crumb cake, early espresso
Other:  basic pearls, brown BIC marker (not SU)

Last Minute Christmas Card

When I shared the order thank you card Thursday, it reminded me that I hadn't shared this one.  The clearance blitz spurred a few unexpected online orders, so I made these to send out with receipts.  I love the look of the layout, plus it's a great way to use scraps of designer paper.

** Note:  It has taken me three days to upload these photos.  Blogger (Google) is having an issue with this.  I hope it gets fixed soon.  In the meantime, I read to download Google Chrome and enter my blog through there.  Not as convenient, but it worked.  Every day, I like iPad apps more and my PC less! **

Scallops and Butterflies and Quilted Table Runners

I needed to make thank you cards to put with qualifying orders.  I made this this morning and cut/stamped several more to punch and assemble while watching tv this evening.

CASEd from this card.

Stamp Sets:  Perfect Punches, Petite Pairs
Card Stock:  whisper white, baja breeze, certainly celery, chocolate chip
Stamp Pad:  chocolate chip
Other:  1-3/8" and 1-3/4" scallop circle punches, beautiful wings embosslit, big shot, dimensionals, basic rhinestone.

Quilting is a new hobby {aka obsession} of mine.  I've made a few quilt tops but haven't tackled the quilting yet - although I have taken a class (twice).  I decided to practice on smaller projects before cramming a quilt in my machine so I made two Christmas table runners.  One for the kitchen table and one for the coffee table in our family room.  I straight line quilted one (and messed up the binding) and appliqued then free-motion meander quilted the other (much better binding)..

More Mittens and Cocoa

Looking at the last few cards I've made, it looks like I focus a lot of attention trying to stay warm.  I'm not sure how I would endure Ohio winters without mittens and hot chocolate!  Anyway, I just loved this card when I saw it on Stampinglee Yours blog and couldn't wait to CASE it for a batch of winter note cards.

I used Whisper White Card Stock on the top card and Very Vanilla on the second one.  I like both equally.  I punched mittens from Cherry Cobbler card stock then embossed snowflakes on them with clear embossing powder.  So it didn't look like I had green cocoa, I removed the green ink from the "inside" of the mug with a q-tip then colored it with my chocolate chip marker

Again, I've used a several items from the Holiday Catalog that won't be available after tomorrow.

Stamp Sets:  Make a Mitten, Scentsational Seasons
Card Stock:  crumb cake, whisper white or very vanilla, cherry cobbler
Stamp Pads:  gumball green, crumb cake, versa mark
Other:  distressing tool, norther flurry ef, holiday collection framelits, big shot, mitten builder punch, gumball green sweater trim ribbon, glue dot, dimensionals.

I made crocheted hats for each of my grandchildren for Christmas. I found the free patterns on Pinterest.

Bearded Hat Pattern.  I made a child hat and small beard and they were too small. .  Also, the bottom of the beard is a chain, which makes it not so stretchy and therefore, a little harder to get on.  Still super cute, though and warm, I bet.   Fortunaly, I had enough yard to make new ones and still leave the small hat and beard in tact for a gift for a smaller guy.
