Happy Leap Day!

I hope you are having a great day!

When I was thinking about today being Leap Day, it dawned on me that I should make a frog card.  Frogs ... leap ...  Get it?  Anyway, I remembered seeing a really cute Punch Art Frog on Debbie's Design's blog.  So I made the frog and worked into a card.

I used the Inspired by Nature Stamp Set for the grass and using my slit punch, I punched cattails from chocolate chip card stock.  The greeting is from Turtle & Company Stamp Set.

Card Stock:  wild wasabi, certainly celery, whisper white, basic black
Stamp Pads:  wild wasabi, certainly celery

Simply Wonderful In-Colors

I love this card that stamperjeno shared on Splitcoast.  It's just happy - colors and sentiment!  Plus the fun in-color names make me think tropical; Pool Party, Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade.  Don't they make you daydream of a warm climate vacation?  It kind of sounds like I'm Vitamin D deficient.  We've had a little sunshine this week, but not enough for me.  :o)

Anyway, I hope your day is warm, sunny and filled with stamping.

Stamp Set:  Friendly Phrases
Card Stock:  pool party, island indigo, lucky limeade, whisper white
Stamp Pad:  black stazon
Other:  stars #2 die, perfect polka-dot embossing folder, big shot, dimensionals, whisper white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.

Cherry Cobbler Open Sea

Hello.  I hope you are having a great day!

I always try to have a masculine card on my buffet board.  This card was on there January/February.  It's pretty simple, but it was very  popular with my stamping friends.  I was so happy when The Open Sea stamp set carried over from the Summer Mini.  It will be available at least through May 31.  I have my fingers crossed that it will be in the next catalog along with a return of nautical designer paper.  It's nice to have a switch from trees and stars for man cards!

Based on this card.

Stamp Set:  The Open Sea
Card Stock:  whisper white, cherry cobbler
Stamp Pad:  cherry cobbler
Other:  square lattice ef, big shot, cherry cobbler baker's twine, dimensionals, silver brads, mat pack, paper piercer.

Bird Punch with Paisley Prints

For some reason, when designing cards for my Card Buffet last month, I wanted to use the Build a Bird Punch.  I like the punch, but it just doesn't seem as easy to use as the Owl Punch.  I blended a few ideas I had found and finally came up with this card.  It has been pretty popular at the buffets.  For personal card making, this kind of layout is great for using up scraps of designer paper.  For mass producing, it's a good layout because you can use several different sheets in a pack.
Stamp Set:  Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock:  river rock, not quite navy, marina mist, old olive, paisley prints dsp
Stamp Pad:  not quite navy
Other:  bird punch, pearls, dimensionals, finial press ef, big shot.

Clean & Simple Thoughts & Prayers

This is a clean card that was fun to make.  It's also a good one to have on hand.  But really - are there any cards that aren't good to have on hand?  Seriously?!  I must use that as an excuse to stamp.  Ha!  Can anyone relate?

Anyway, this card was available on my Card Buffet in January and February.

CASEd from this card on Splitcoast.

Stamp Set:  Thoughts & Prayers
Card Stock:  whisper white, chocolate chip
Stamp Pad:  chocolate chip
Other:  chocolate chip 5/8" satin ribbon, xl oval punch, dimensionals.

Everyday Enchantment Squares

Today's card features 3 freebie items from Sale-a-Bration:  designer paper, stamp set and a designer brad.  Stampin' Up! did a great job coordinating items; making it easier for fun projects and making me want it all!

This layout is a great use of designer paper if you
  1. want to use several different patterns on one card
  2. have little scraps that you want to use up
  3. need to mass produce cards and still use dsp (ie, card buffet).
CASEd from here.

Stamp Set:  Fresh Vintage
Card Stock: riding hood red, very vanilla, everyday enchantment dsp
Stamp Pad:  riding hood red
Other:  1-3/8" square punch, postage punch, 1/16" hole punch, dimensional, everyday enchantment brad.

Marina Mist Snowflakes With a Touch of Glimmer

I've been negligent in making cards to include with orders the last few months (it all goes back to rushing to finish Christmas cards).  I made a few of these to include with workshop orders from a couple of weeks ago.  I started on another batch then got waylaid by prep work for the next card buffet.

I really like this card, but I think it would seem more suitable if we were having a snowy winter.  That's OK, though.  I would trade seasonal snowflake cards for a mild winter any time.

I CASEd this card from one I printed out in November.  I usually write the source on the printed paper, but didn't this time.  There's no watermark on it and I have been searching and can't find where I originally saw it.  Sorry!

Stamp Set:  Friendly Phrases
Card Stock:  crumb cake, whisper white, marina mist, early espresso, silver glimmer
Stamp Pad:  early espresso
Other:  snowburst embossing folder, big shot, snowflake punch, 1/2" circle punch, dimensionals.

Baby Boy Shower Card

I was recently invited to a baby shower.  They know the baby is a boy and that his name is Connor.  I crocheted a blanket for the gift and made this card to go along with it.  Well, I didn't actually make this card for the gift - it had a "C".  The sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set.  I love the font and use that set quite a bit.  I decorated the envelope and inside with the rattle from the Button Buddies Stamp Set.

Stamp Sets:  Friendly Phrases, Button Buddies
Card Stock:  crumb cake, whisper white, daffodil delight, pool party, lucky limeade
Stamp Pads:  lucky limeade, island indigo
Other:  tasteful trims die, timeless type junior alphabet sizzlets, big shot, 1-3/4" scallop circle punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, dimensionals, island indigo ribbon, in color brads.
