Rock & Roll Butterfly

Although I have seen it many times, this is the first time I tried the "Rock & Roll" Technique.  Check out the stamped butterfly image.  See how it's darker around the edges?  I first inked it up in Regal Rose ink, then gently rolled the edges of the stamp around in the Real Red stamp pad.  Then stamped.  If you're making more than one card or stamping the image more than once for the same card, it's important to clean the stamp between every image.  It's also important to ink up with the lighter color first.  This technique looks really good for flowers and leaves, too.

In the 3 minutes it took me to type that first paragraph, the weather went from bright & sunny to raining and sunny to dark and thunder and downpouring.  Ugh!  Is anybody else ready for the scorching days of summer?
