Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack

Stampin' Up! has added a "clearance rack" to online ordering. These are all retired or discontinued products and are only available while supplies last. When these items sell out, they will be removed. Other products may be placed on clearance depending on inventory levels - so check back often.
.
To keep up-to-date counts, these clearance items can only be ordered online through the Stampin' Up! website. They can be combined with orders for current products.
.
I've added a clearance rack button on the left, just below the shop 24/7 button to take you directly to the sale items. To see the true clearance prices, you will need to create an account. I will receive notification of orders placed that specify me as your demonstrator.
.
Who doesn't love a sale? Happy Shopping!

Sparkly Pink Cupcakes

Hello.
.
This is just a girly little birthday card. I was trying to come up with some quick and fairly easy samples for a friend and this is one. Cuter in person, but not an outstanding card. Next time I would add a texture to the top pink section. I added glitter to the frosting on the cupcakes and popped up that panel. This layout is very similar to the skunk card I posted a couple of days ago.
.
Have a great day!

Build-A-Bear Birthdays

Hi.
.
My granddaughter, Emma, spent last weekend with us. She is going to go to two birthday parties next weekend. Being the good grandma that I am, I offered to make her friends' birthday cards with my new Build-A-Bear Workshop stamps (and hoped she would accept). She said yes, so I asked if she wanted the bear holding a balloon or a gift bag. If you look at the cards, you can tell her answer.
.
I didn't get around to making them until just before my whole crew showed up wanting dinner. So I made them hurridly, but I still think they are pretty cute. I stamped part of the bear stamp on the new Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper and cut out the dress and pieced it on the bear. I also stamped the balloon and present twice, colored them, cut them out and popped them up.
.
Thanks for stopping by.

So Stinkin' Cute!

Happy Monday!
.
Who ever thought adding bling to a skunk would make such a cute card? It's a CASE of this card from Splitcoast Stampers. The photo doesn't show the circle texture I added to that top white portion. Normally, I'm not crazy about "punny" lines or animal stamps, yet I am drawn to the Pun Fun stamp set (which are not all animals). Click here to see more cards that I have posted using this same stamp set.
.
Have a great week!

September Stamp-A-Stack #4

Hi.

This is the fourth and final card from the September Stamp-A-Stack. It's the only one not done in fall colors. I hope you like it.
.
To add dimension to the Medallion, I stamped it a second time on scrap paper and punched out the center and popped it up over the center of the base image.

Have a great weekend!

September Stamp-A-Stack #3

Hi there.
.
This is the third card from our Stamp-A-Stack last week. I always love this stamp set. It's fun to stamp the leaves - freestyle - no lines to stay within. Up close, it almost looks like the leaves are watercolored - but the stamping is much easier. Just change the ink colors to change seasons. This card has bronze brads - the otheres have gold. which I think look better. As usual, this card is sooo much prettier in real life.
.
When I designed and made these cards, the weather was crisp and cool and fall colors looked pretty. I was finally about ready to give in and be ready for fall. Now that the calendar says it's here, the weather is hot and muggy. Life in the midwest!
.
Enjoy your day!

September Stamp-A-Stack #2

Hi!
This is the second card we made at last weekend's Stamp-A-Stack. I was blog cruising one day and saw this on my upline's blog as part of a monthly card kit she sells. Since she's my upline, I knew she would want to share it with me :0) Thanks, Karen!
Have a great day!

September Stamp-A-Stack #1

Hello
.
I hope you've had a great start to your week!
.
My September Stamp-A-Stack was this past weekend. Here's the first card we made. I had promised some fall themed cards. In the past, I have struggled with Thanksgiving cards so I was excited to find this card made with the new Autumn Days stamp set.

Have a great day!

Cheep Talk for Fall

Happy Weekend!
.
I am so excited for this weekend! This morning's Stamp-A-Stack will be lightly attended, but I will be stamping with one of my daughters and a good friend. Then Jeff gets off work at noon - for the rest of the weekend. And tomorrow we're having an outdoor service and lunch at church. Stamping, family, friends, great worship ... Does it get any better?
.
I just love this card! I've used my Cheep Talk stamp set for a lot of cards, but never thought to take it so "fallish" before. To see my other posts with this set, click here. You might recognize the layout of this card from the Dasher card I posted a few days ago.
.
The inking of the stamps looks trickier than it really is. I was told that if you ink a stamp in a stamp pad, you can go over it with a darker marker. I'm really funny about my things staying nice and clean, so this was a stretch for me. I finally got up the nerve to give it a try and am glad I did. I inked up the branch/leaves stamp in my Pumpkin Pie stamp pad, then colored over the branch part with my chocolate chip marker. It worked! There's no pumpkin showing through on my chocolate marker (I scribbled to be sure). And the stamped image seems bolder than when done with just marker. I did the same thing with the birds feet. I stamped the entire image in ruby red and colored the feet with my chocolate chip marker. But I wanted the beak to be pumpkin (which is not darker than ruby red), so I wiped off the ruby red ink with my finger and colored it with my pumpkin pie marker. Easy and again - looks great. I guess I'm not too old to learn new tricks after all.
.
Enjoy your weekend!

First Falling Leaves

Hi there!
.
Fall is almost here. Are you looking forward to these colors? I love the sights and smells of fall, but I know what's just around the corner.
.
A couple of weeks ago, I designed fall cards for the September Stamp-A-Stack (tonight and tomorrow). This is one of my choices. It's easy enough for all levels of stamping but still has enough "wow" factor. I really like it, but I like the original better and was I afraid I wouldn't be able to get enough Dusty Durango ribbon quickly enough. Maybe another time ... or for my personal use. Come back next week to see the cards that made the final cut for the SAS.
.
The greeting on this card is from the Falling Leaves stamp set and reads, "Happy Thanksgiving , happy Fall, happy Blessings to one and all."
.
Have a great weekend!

Glistening Snow

Hello
.
I know - Fall is just peeking and I'm making snowy cards. Making those swap cards got me in the mood for Christmas cards. And with so much red and suede, I had to break out my favorite - blue! Don't you just love the glitter on the snow? And if you look closely, you can see white snowflakes stamped on the blue card stock.
.
I think this has a peaceful and cheery look all rolled into one card. My mom has her eye on it for a potential 2010 Christmas card. After her 2008 Christmas card, my dad banned her from using glitter in the house. But he's pretty much a pushover and Mom and I can both be persuasive, so I don't think there's really going to be a problem. :0)
.
Have a terrific day!

First Swap Attempt: Dasher

Hi
When I was trying to design a card for the swap, this was my first attempt. It doesn't show in the picture too well, but I stamped snowflakes in versamark on the red layer for a subtle background. The reindeer is embossed. Although, I don't love this card, the stamp has a lot of potential. Dasher is one of the single stamps from the back of the catalog.
Have a great day!

Regional Meeting Swap Cards

Hello!
.
This past Friday, I attended a Stampin' Up! Regional Meeting in Cincinnati. I really enjoyed it and was so impressed with the company. We got to see so many ideas and demonstrations that I couldn't hold them all in my mind. We were given a new stamp set and project ideas and materials. Occasionally they would call stamping break and we would work while we chatted. One thing that usually happens at such gatherings is demonstrators "swap" card fronts with one another. I had decided to not participate then was talked into last minute. I had to come up with an original idea. I broke out my new Serene Snowflake Stamp Set anddesigned these. I couldn't decide which color arrangement I liked better, so I made 20 of each.

Have a great day!

September "Stamp Club" Project

Happy Monday!
.
Saturday was our monthly stamp club. This is not a Stampin' Up! class or workshop. Four of us have been getting together once a month to stamp for about 7 or 8 years. We each bring a project for everyone to make. We've become close friends and I look forward to each month! This is the card I took. I saw it last year and have been saving it.
.
Have a great week!

Preschool Bugs & Kisses

Hello
.
My grandson, Will, starts preschool Tuesday. He's just 3-1/2. He's adorable and can be very charming when he wants to be; when he's comfortable. We've never been able to leave him in a classroom at church, so I am nervous about this. I have a feeling, Erica will go on to her classes with Will wrapped around her leg. I hope she packs fruit snacks and matchbox cars in her backpack.
This is the card I'm mailing to Will today to let him know whe love him and we want him to have fun at school (and to be a good boy). I probably should be sending cards to his teachers - or cash.
.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Creepy, Crawly and Cute!

Hello

When I was desiging cards for the August Stamp-A-Stack, I knew I wanted to use the Batty for You Stamp Set. This is a card that I made, but didn't choose. I still think it's really cute, though! Take a close look at the little spider and notice the googly eyes. To see the card, I did use, click here. And to see this spider again, click here.

Build-A-Bear Sleepover

Hello

I hope your holiday weekend was everything you wanted it to be!

My granddaughter, Emma, started 1st grade a couple of weeks ago. She and her Kindergarten best friend, Gracie, are in the same class and picked up where they left off in the spring. Emma got to have Gracie over for her first sleepover Friday. They were both so excited! Emma loves Build-A-Bears, so when I saw this card, I knew I had to make one for her. I'm mailing it today. I think she'll like it. Wouldn't this make the cutest sleepover invitation?

Starting September 1, Stampin' Up! teamed up with Build-A-Bear (BAB) workshops. The new Holiday Occasions Mini Catalog showcases a line of products that includes stamp sets, dies and designer papers. Check it out here.

For my card, I used the Top Note Die to make the sleeping bag. I folded over the top piece to look like a sleeping bag top. I just love 2-sided paper! I cut the bottom top note piece in 1/2 so I can use the other 1/2 for another sleeping bag. The bear's top is pieced using paper from the same paper pack as the sleeping bag; Pawsitively Prints. I didn't attach the bear down, so Emma can pull her out and play with her.

Have a great week!

Shopping Bag Thank You

Hi.

A friend of mine recently attended Stampin' Up!'s annual convention. She bought this reusable shopping bag and mailed it to me. Isn't is so cute?! It's more fun to carry in out of stores than the black Kroger bags I take everywhere. Of course I do have tons of thank-you cards in stock but she reads my blog so I wanted to make one she hadn't seen before. Then I stumbled onto this card and knew it was the one. It's a great match to the bag. I know my picture is dark, but it captures the dimension - in a photo with the flash, you can't tell that the circles are popped up.

Kyle will be home for the first weekend since he moved to school. And I also have to work on refreshments for a fast approaching reception at church. So if I don't post for a few days - I hope your holiday weekend is fun and safe!

Hi.
.
Sometimes I overlook the most obvious source for card designs - the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. This card uses the same stamp set I showed you yesterday; Tasty Sweet and was CASEd from page 24 of the 09-10 catalog with a few very minor changes. Have you planned your Halloween cards yet? Let me know if you need help designing or would like for me to make them for you.

Trick-or-Treat Suspension Card

Hi.

I know - it's early for Halloween cards. I've seen a few "suspension" cards and when I stumbled on this one, I had to give it a try. I happen to be CASEing from one of my favorite stamping bloggers who happens to make great video tutorials. So I watched it and voila! The suspended spider is 2-sided and actually spins around in his little window.
Have a super day!

The Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog starts today!!

Can you believe it's September already?! It may as well be since we're already wearing sweatshirts in the evenings and sleeping with the windows open.
.
Anyway, what's exciting about September is the products in the Holiday Mini Catalog are now available to order. I love this new catalog! It is filled with so many great new products: stamp sets, punches, rub-ons, ribbons, dies, designer papers and a brand new product line. Stampin' Up! has teamed with Build-A-Bear to create really fun and adorable products. Check it out.
.
Look for the above picture over on the right of my blog; beneath the "about me" section. Click on the mini catalog to see all of the new products and many project ideas - it's a quick download. To see the list of supplies used for each project, click on the supply list link below the Mini Catalog.
.
If you placed an order with me before July 31, your mini catalog is on its way to you. Stampin' Up! was a little late getting those out. Sorry ... but it will be worth the wait!
.
Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday Hats

Hello!
When I was trying to come up with cards for my last Stamp-A-Stack, I knew I wanted to make 1 birthday card. I made this, but didn't use it. One thing I do like about it is the colors are bright but it could still be used for a guy. The hat panel is popped up. As always, it's cuter in person.
Have a great day!
